The Australian Horticultural Statistics Handbook was established in 2015 to provide a comprehensive and reliable source of statistical data for the Australian horticulture industry. It was developed in response to the industry’s need for more detailed, timely, and accessible insights into production, trade, and market trends.

Almond Centre of Excellence experimental and demonstration orchard (AL19000)

The project established a dedicated experimental orchard for research and development for the Australian almond industry. A 60-hectare greenfield site in Loxton, South Australia, was transformed into a state-of-the-art research facility for cutting-edge trials conducted under commercial orchard conditions to ensure practical application.

Pathway to carbon neutral – life cycle analysis in almond orchards (AL20005)

This project conducted a life cycle assessment (LCA) of the Australian almond industry, given a growing interest in greenhouse gas emissions reductions, climate risk, carbon disclosure reporting and environmental, as well as social and corporate governance.
